Numpad 0 hides the timeline, but what key hides the rest? By the way I like your new avatar, seems like a highly sophisticated duck Thank you for re/de-railing this thread neonnoodle, I tried it once, but I don't know which keys/functions that would be. With this point of view you ask why this single software is so expensive and it has nothing to do with want something for free or not appreciating someones work. Of course TVPaint is a great tool, if you getting used to it and none of the software in the MasterCollection can be used to do handdrawn animation (with Photoshop you can, but honestly it's a pain in the. You can buy the whole CS6 Master Collection or for the same amount a software which still got it's quirks and an interface from 93. See yourself in th position of a customer, without your knowledge of the TVPaint team and their situation. Maybe I'm absolutely wrong Paul, but it sounds to me a bit like you projecting your anger about something else on fox's question (even if there are similarities). Now he feels the need to help these producers because apparently they don't realize that they can't ask for money without putting a single special effect in their movie and tells them "until you put some special effects into your movie that otherwise looks very good you can't expect me or anyone else to pay for it". Isn't this the same type of person who has become used to getting any movie, software or video game he wants for free and is upset when he comes across a movie he wants to see badly but can't find it on a pirate's forum? And when he sees the teaser of this movie he gets even more upset that he should pay for it because the teaser doesn't show a single explosion or lifelike monster like every good movie he has ever seen before?īut it doesn't end there. I am talking about the mentality of a person in a generic way now, a person who looks at all the software available to him and picks the one he can't afford and because he could afford all the other ones except for this one, he instantly assumes it is overpriced. If he or anyone else has unresolved issues/requests, they should probably bump the request.I really can't see it that way no matter how hard I try. With all due respect to Condepablo, his initial post was rather vague and didn't provide much substance with which to respond. Want to see TVP 12 with that shiny new engine capable of doing what the current version can't? I know I do! Just be patient, it's coming.Īlso, seems a bit unfair to criticize Slowtiger's response. Want to see TVP 11 improve? Lay out your requests and provide a clear explanation of how and why it would be beneficial. I sense nothing but enthusiasm and optimism from the current TVP team. Just look at many of Xavier's posts and see how much effort he puts in to making sure he gets things right. And over the past year or so the frequency of updates has increased! So yes, they are listening to everyone's requests and seem to be working diligently to implement them as best they can. Considering all this, they've actually been far more open and active in regards to features and improvement requests compared to years past. Keep in mind they're a small team and have to carefully prioritize their time and resources. Since that comment the pandemic was already well underway which likely affected progress, as with any other software company. As he said, it's going to be a long wait. I have a lot of faith in this software, just kinda want to now the statusĭean already stated in this very thread that the next major version (TVP 12) is in development. But really, if there is a TVP12 on the works I would rather wait for it to pay it with full price than TVP11 with student discount. Sorry for an abrupt question, maybe there has been smaller announcements that I do not know of. I could technically work solely off the android version of TVP11 and then export it on TVP10 on PC, but my work requires far more performance than any android device currently allows. Even if not TVP12 then something like the android version with extra enhancements. So I wanted to know if there are plans for a newer version. However, in that timespan I'm afraid I'd run into the same problems in even newer rigs (in the future) as TVP 10 does right now! processors, graphic cards/mother borad producers, operating systems, are all very unpredictable, and in my view third party software has taken a hit since windows 10 in terms of continuity and consistency of performance. However, it is quite the investment, if I were to buy TVP11 it would be like 5-7 years of dedication for a single purchase. I was thinking if it I was going to buy an art/animation software it would be TvPaint. But it seems like it is a bit buggy on extremely new rigs.
